Euro Trip

Whoa you guys, my mom promised me an awesome senior trip for next summer. I get to pick the destination and she'll put out some money, and my sister and I are going to put out the rest. So picture me hiking through Europe for two weeks and getting to see some sights! If it actually happens, which I hope it does, then you will all be getting postcards from Italy, Switzerland, Austria, the Czech Republic, Croatia, and possibly Greece. The United Kingdom will have to wait for another day! Ivan, Rachel... when are you guys meeting up next summer? Haha, because I'm so in! Arianna

It all depends on Ivan, he has to tell us when he'll be there so we can all meet up. Yes! Fun, fun, fun, summer and friends. I seriously can't wait. love you all....r.

I Want To Learn Esperanto

Mmmm. There's only a week left in my classes. Less than I expected.

I'm not going to be online or speaking to anyone for six days or so.

Until then,
Ivan

I think I'm missing something. What's Esperanto? And who's tdb? All of a sudden our blog seems to have become a lot more popular.

At 6:41 AM, Blogger Unknown said...

Fun fact, I invented a language back in my freshman year, it was called Pegiwecy. We just you know, moved letters around and translated each one straight across.

At 4:12 PM, Blogger Arianna said...

That's nice but what does that have to do with anything?

At 10:11 PM, Blogger Unknown said...

Well Arianna, if you had done your research, you would know that Esperanto is a language that was invented as a contender for the universal language. The thinking behind it being that since this no ones native language then it will favor no one and so everyone will be angry, but equally.

At 9:46 AM, Blogger Arianna said...

Haha, that's sort of clever.

At 9:48 AM, Blogger Arianna said...

P.S. Andrew are you coming to the game on Monday at 1? Chris was supposed to tell you. Oh yeah, and reinstall AIM please.

At 3:06 PM, Blogger Tonyo said...

>I think I'm missing something.
Look at the title of the post

>What's Esperanto?
Andrew answered. Take a look at esperanto.net

>And who's tdb?

Me :-)

>All of a sudden our blog seems to have become a lot more popular.

Hmm. Searching for "Esperanto"

If you are going to visit Europe, just a bit of Esperanto would be a good choice.

At 3:50 PM, Blogger Arianna said...

I'll keep that in mind, thanks.

At 9:45 PM, Blogger Unknown said...

Hahaha, this post ran away with itself. Thanks for the site tdb. I think I might have visited it before, because that might be what turned me on to this in the first place.

Everyone else, I'd like to talk to some one, I'm finally done with classes.

At 8:34 AM, Blogger Arianna said...

Excellent, Ivan! Want to go to the zoo, Multnomah Falls, or Salish Ponds today with Nikki and I? Let me know! Best to call my home phone first because I can never hear when my cell rings. Talk to you soon. There's frisbee on Monday at 1, can you make it? And can you tell Spencer? Thanks!

At 1:14 PM, Blogger Unknown said...

Frisbee, Monday, 1. Sounds good, I'll be there. Seeing as how it's September 1st Arianna, you need to get your myspace going so that we can talk on MySpaceIM! It's so much better than AIM, you're my only friend with out a MySpace! It's a revolution baby!

At 6:30 PM, Blogger Arianna said...

Didn't Chris tell you? He said I didn't have to get one anymore. And I'm not considering it a party foul for backing out of the bet since he's the one who relented. So you had better get AIM back if we ever want to talk again.

At 8:12 AM, Blogger Rachel said...

Wow...I'm so confused by all these comments...can anyone tell me who tdb is? I just don't get it here. But I know what Esperanto is....isn't that great? But I didn't get Andrew's Pegiwecy...I suck at word riddles. Too bad...

At 10:18 AM, Blogger Unknown said...

Chris only let you off the MySpace hook because he's too afraid to kick anyone off of his top 8. I'm not getting AIM back so you really need to get a MySpace.

At 3:36 PM, Blogger Arianna said...

Andrew, I can't! I'm morally against Myspacing and I'm not about to turn into a hypocrite. If our friendship dies, I'm going to blame it on you. Lol, so come on and cave already: get AIM back so we can talk!

At 8:43 AM, Blogger Arianna said...

Because I don't check it often.

Red And Blue Fish

Guys, if everyone can make it I'm going to have Tye-Dye at my house on Sunday sometime after 3. This is all tentative, or however it's spelt. Any special requests for colors or such and I might make a run to Saturday Market. Bring your own clothing to dye, and try not to waste it. The process goes down as such: First you soak the clothing in this mixture of Soda Ash and water for some odd 20 minutes, it makes the colors set deeper. After that you tie it up with rubber bands in all sorts of zany ways. Then I have the squirt bottles of all the dye (red, yellow, blue, one empty one to mix colors in). I only have a lmited amount, but the box said it's enough for 15 shirts. I'm going to get more just in case. If anyone can't make it we can reschedule.

Imput anyone?

EDIT 08/27/06: Until further notice tie-dying is on hiatus. I might be in finals week of my classes and besides Jessica and Arianna I have no idea who is coming.

I'm totally in. My only question: do we need to provide our own rubberbands? See you guys then.
Arianna

At 6:12 PM, Blogger Unknown said...

I have 47 rubber bands, so maybe bring some more. The amount you need only depends on how intricate you want your design to be, or how many white spots.

At 6:19 PM, Blogger Unknown said...

And by sometime after 3, that time could get pushed back pretty far.

At 7:48 AM, Blogger Arianna said...

That's a bummer. Hopefully we can do it some other time. Good luck on your finals.

At 2:16 PM, Blogger Nikki said...

Sorry i didnt respond earlier. i can come i made cookies for eveyrone so hopefully it is still on. I am going to have to see about getting some t-shirts though. I think i might just bring some plain white t-shirts that go under dress shirts that i have and do those because i am not using them for anything. let me know what is oging down.

Ok, at the beginning of reading the comment above, I was really freaked out, and I thought that we had maybe been sharing too much on this blog, especially when I got to the part where it said that Ivan really cared about the tie dye party. Then I saw it was by Jessica. I flipping out though.

At 12:26 AM, Blogger Unknown said...

I'm very tired.

I'm going to be taking a break for a week. My parents said we probably will have tie-dye at the end of the week. Stromboli too.

Today was very much a day.

Thank you for posting that Jessy, I almost wasn't going to post anything, I just remembered. I'm grateful that you could come here and say how much I cared, even if I wasn't here myself.

Sorry if she scared anyone, Andrew, haha.

We should have frisbee soon. Who's available when? And on Monday for sure there's a game at 1. RSVP please, I must have gotten stood up at about a dozen planned games this summer and it sucks.

Nowhere Man

Well, we've had a hell of a year, actually, it's been a pretty bad year, but, I've had a hell of a term. Lately, as I'm sure all of you have noticed I have not been my usual dictating self. This past year has been a bit of a slump, not as many games, thus, decreased hang out time, thus weakened bonds.
After much thought, I have decided to step down from my post as dictator. Effective immediately, Arianna is my successor. In appointing Arianna I hope to regain that feeling of energy that we lost at the end of my term. With this new energy and fresh face, more games will be scheduled, more events, planned, more of the things we like to do will get done, and happen.
So, cheers, to our next dictator, and our newest era...

finally

Dear everyone,
first of all, I'm terribly sorry for being [about a month] late. Please believe me, there hasn't been a day that I wasn't thinking of you all. I know I was being lazy but there were also circumstances that stopped me from writing you sooner. Well, let's start from the beginning. I came home and my sister with my mom where waiting for me at the airport. I cried like a baby for about 5 minutes without being able to stop. They brought me some great Czech bread and salt [it's a traditional way of welcoming a guest - and a very old-fashioned one, too]. Then we went home. In the car my mom decided to do all the "serious talk" she hadn't had time to do during the year. She said that there is no way of buying me a car when I'm eighteen and that I have to clean up our apartment more and at least once a week I have to cook us dinner. It was weird since I've never even mentioned me having a car. Anyway. The next day I slept - I had to take a sleeping pill because I had a really bad headache and I couldn't sleep. The day after that Vit came and brought me freakin' 5 red roses. I thought it was stupid since it had to be expensive. I let him stay because Sophia and Ashley [ her hostsister, remeber?] were coming and I wanted him to meet them, too since he was talking to them earlier on Myspace. It was fun, we took a tour around our town and I guess everybody liked it. But the question is - are we getting back together?? I don't think so. I'm engaged anyway so it would be something like cheating I guess. Those first couple of days were pretty racy [btw. I tought my mom this word and she keeps saying it now - it's getting on my nerves, j\k I like it, it reminds me of you more]. I was really confused and depressed. I met some of my great old friends and my best friend and except for her everybody seemed to do nothing else than smoking and drinking. But my best friend had a surprise, too. She told me she became a friend with our clasmate Theresa and that she might like her more than me since she understands her better and that she feels that Theresa is her new soulmate. I wonder if she spoke the truth. In this really weird mind set I left for a girlscout camp for two weeks [that's why I couldn't write earlier] and it was awesome. It was really fun like always. I told my girls about Nikki "The American Girl Scout" and they were excited. After that I had a frisbee tournament. It was this weekend actually. I sucked really bad but I enjoyed it so much!!! I thought of you a lot and how you would have liked it. It was great except I had to collect the registration fee from all of the players and ended up with a lot of money in my wallet which made me so nervous that I never let my backpack out of my hands. Otherwise I played terribly but still, I loved it. Right now I'm going to stay at home for the rest of the summer break and just study for my exams that I have to pass to be able to skip the year I missed. It's gonna be hard but....well, I don't have another choice. And now about you! Ivan is coming to Croatia next year? I'm soooo coming to visit you - 'nuff said. Arianna, dear - thank you so much for writing me! I'll reply I promise, I hope it's gonna be soon. Your letters were the only thing that made me feel normal during that confusion after my return. Chris? enough of washing cars, ok? I want you to write me! Andrew, let me know about your new girlfriend, don't try to hide it. Nikki, can you write why did virgil make you mad? It might be a good thing to know for my future stay at your house :-) And Spencer....write me about New York! I was at the airport there. it was quite confusing. Anyways - my mom and my sister know everything about you now and they are very glad I got to meet you since you helped me the most out of the dirty Henne house. Can someone let Ben know that I'm alive? Finally, he's my fiancee, right? And call me, you guys!!! And excuse my grammar, you know - it has been a month ( you can write me what mistakes I made so I won't get out of shape ). I love you all dearly and miss you as well. Let me know about stuff, send a picture of Arianna's Volvo and explain the Island Scenario. Wow, what a long blog ( we call it a letter here ). Forever yours Rachel

RACHEL! Man, we've been wondering about you! I'm so glad you're back in touch. Congrats, I think you've written the longest blog ever, haha. It rocks. That sucks about your best friend ditching you, she doesn't know what she's missing. I lost a bet with Chris because I dared him to eat a whole watermelon rind and the result was I have to get a myspace on Sept. 1. It was a really lame bet I think, but Andrew says it'd be a party foul to back out of it. So that sucks, but hey then I can talk to you a lot more so I guess that's something. Man, Ben... he's still as weird as ever. He came by my house a couple of weeks ago to drop off a shirt his mom was getting rid of and it is the ugliest thing ever. But someone will tell him you're alive I'm sure. That's nice Vit got you flowers. Is he still with that girl that he kissed, did that ever take up or was it a one time thing? Just because you're engaged to Ben doesn't mean you shouldn't be looking for better things, because I seriously give your marriage with Ben a year at most with all that TENSION you two create. Haha, love you Rachel!

At 7:45 PM, Blogger Arianna said...

Oh yeah, I forgot to explain the Island Scenario. It's this fun thing we do to evaluate our relationships with one another, haha. It's just if all the Regulars were all stranded on a deserted island and had to kill someone, who would you kill? Let me know so I can post it. Arianna

P.S. Isn't that a great way to show our love of one another? Lol.

At 4:26 AM, Blogger Rachel said...

Myspace is stupid - I'm getting an AIM soon. Just wait I'll let you know. Vit just kissed that girl they weren't dating or anything. He said he's still in love with me so I feel sorry for him and keep calling him so he won't be that sad. In fact, I don't really know what to do. I miss you!!!! All love

At 11:55 AM, Blogger Unknown said...

Man, you really know how to build dramatic suspence. Fly low for a few months then go all out in a huge post. I'm glad you're doing okay... well, that you're still alive.

The island scenario is probably one of the best and worst things about the regulars, haha. It's always sad to know who'd want to kill you instead of some one else.

At 5:25 PM, Blogger Arianna said...

Yeah, the Island Scenario can be tough. But I like doing it because it helps me realize who I don't spend enough time with. Like this time I voted for Ivan but then we started talking and hanging out a lot more and so I had to switch my vote to Andrew who is also good now, since we have been having Monopoly parties at his house lately.

Did Mr. Hernquist ever come visit you? If he's there tell him hi for me; he was a really awesome teacher. I probably only think that because he was weird, but it's all good.

At 3:14 AM, Blogger Rachel said...

Mr. Hernquist hasn't written me yet, so I don't know. Am I still supposed to kill someone, 'cause I don't want to. Monopoly party sounds great I guess I'll have to find an internet version so we can play together :) Ivan - thanks for you email.

At 5:55 PM, Blogger Unknown said...

Of course you have to kill some one, haha. As long as it isn't me.
