New: Appreciation Days

Haha, check this out you guys: first we had Regular traditions, and then laws, and now we add the latest Regular development to our... culture: holidays! Ivan and I think it would be cool to have an established Appreciation Day for each regular, and it would be exactly six months from your original birthday, so here I did the list already and everything: Ivan would be December 7, Chris would be December 17, Andrew would be April 29, Nikki June 28 and I would be June 30th. Spencer's would be October 16th we think, because we're not sure what day his actual birthday is on (that sounds horrible, I know). Anyway, it would be present-less but just full of good feeling and appreciation for the intended Regular for a full day. (This might also heal the rifts Nikki was talking about). Arianna

I think it's an awesome idea, whoever came up with it should be commended.

Quite the image of humility Ivan. Anyway, what exactly do these "Appreciation Days" entail? Cake? Presents? Or just the usual saying what we like about this person? Ah well, at least we don't think eachother is unworthy of appreciation.
To be brutally honest (it is my specialty after all) this really sounds like one of those things that you do in the 3rd grade where everyone goes around in a circle and says at least one thing they like about that person. In fact, I daresay that was the meat of your guys' idea.
Whatev, let the angry emails denoting my lack of enthusiasm ensue.

Haha, Andrew you crack me up. As I said above, it's presentless and doesn't necessarily require a cake or anything, but if you want to give one to Ivan (his is in 5 days actually) then that would be a very nice gesture. It is sort of like those 3rd grade things but it doesn't necessarily have to be about that. It can be like an email or, in your case, haha, refraining from saying anything negative about them for a whole 24 hours... or as long as possible, haha. Just kidding, Andrew! And no this is not an angry email denoting your lack of enthusiasm, it's an email promoting your good side. Or something like that.

Well seeing as the feelings about these days are mixed, it doesn't have to be that big of a deal. Like don't go out of your way to do anything especially nice for that person, just show a little more... appreciation? I don't know. If it's anything, Chris's and my day are coming up soon.

I'm definately sending myself a letter of appreciation.

Secret Santa!? So I guess this means I have to get presents for you guys, ah jeez. Whatever though, lets do it, it sounds less than revolting after all. Might be kind of fun actually, trying to find out who my Secret Santa is...

Haha, Andrew the whole point is so you DON'T have to buy presents for everyone; just one person. I don't really know for sure how it actually works... I know we draw names and do like two or three small, inexpensive gifts and leave them for the person, in say their locker or backpack or something. We'll have to exchange locker combos and everything before it starts. How fun! I'm so excited! And yeah, it will be cool to try and figure out who our Secret Santas are!!!

I got it all worked out; this afternoon my church had a budget meeting and I was bored so I have a slip of paper with everyone's name on it. I'll bring it to school tomorrow and whenever I see you I'll make you grab a name. Preferably look at it before I disappear because if you get your own name and all, you have to redraw. Ok see you!

P.S. My dad's back from Iran. Let the nightmare begin.

Arianna, if you keep telling everyone, then it wont mean anything when we do remember. Keep quiet!
